New Canaan has five public schools; three elementary schools (West School, South School, East School), a middle school (Saxe Middle School), and high school (New Canaan High School).

The town is also home to three private schools; St. Aloysius School (K-8), St. Luke’s School (5-12), and New Canaan Country School (PS-9).

A few of our favorite restaurants include Rosie, Sole, and Chef Luis Restaurant and we always love popping into J. McLaughlin, Papyrus, and Vineyard Vines, among others, when we’re looking for something to do on the weekends!

While there is plenty to do in New Canaan for those who want to eat and shop through the weekend, there are also several slower-paced activities to enjoy throughout the town.

If you’re looking to get outside and be one with nature, you can never go wrong visiting the New Canaan Nature Center or Waveny Park! Both feature open fields and activities for kids to experience.
