Renovation Spotlight: The Firehouse (Completed Investment)

A fire rendered with this single family home uninhabitable, leaving it boarded up for well over a year. RESOURCE360 purchased the house to renovate it primarily within its footprint. Our goal was to preserve the traditional center hall colonial layout and modernize it with a large open concept family room and kitchen.  The key to solving the first-floor layout was moving the kitchen into the large family and adding a butler’s pantry behind the dining room.  Previously, the kitchen was located in the middle of the house running along the back wall and the dining room was turned 90 degrees and running along the front wall.  The end result of the changes we made was a functional layout with great flow through the 1st Floor.

On the second floor, we added 650 sq. ft of living space by building over the existing single-story structure to offer a grand master suite with both his and hers walk-in-closet and large master bath.  We preserved the original master as a guest room, created a second-floor laundry, and added a hall bath to serve the two other bedrooms.
